Steve Wagner
President & Brewmaster
APPEARANCE:
Clear golden, beautiful white head and nice retention. |
AROMA:
Still a big hop aroma with alcohol and fruit…orangy. |
FLAVOR:
A little sweet, but with wheat balance – hop flavor still present. |
PALATE:
Medium-body, very drinkable, and good carbonation. |
OVERALL:
I would drink now, not sure how it is going to get better! |
|

Lee Chase
Head Brewer
APPEARANCE:
Clear with a medium foam head. |
AROMA:
Nice hoppy aroma. Citrusy like some sweet juicy fruit and slightly reminiscent of the 04.04.04 Vertical Epic Ale: faint tart/acidic aroma. |
FLAVOR:
Nice balance, big hops, and almost too drinkable. Noticeable alcohol (7.8%), slight peppery, nice bitterness now, but that is soon to fade I think. Complex. |
PALATE:
Medium-bodied, nice and soft. |
OVERALL:
Tasty – I agree with the notes I copied from Steve…drink it now! |

Greg Koch
Chairman & CEO
APPEARANCE:
Light golden and clear with the ever-so-slightest haze. |
AROMA:
Fresh and lightly piney. |
FLAVOR: Still nice and punchy. Forward hoppy bitterness that lingers nicely. Slightly metallic and rather complex. |
PALATE:
Well carbonated. I don’t get that wheat softness on the palate, but then the wheat content was only modest to begin with. |
OVERALL:
I really can’t say how I think this will age. It’s hoppy flavor characteristics are difficult to predict…will they mellow nicely, or just get “old”? |

Chris Cochran
Marketing & Promotions
APPEARANCE:
Bright and gold, nice CO2 resulted in exquisite lace on the glass. |
AROMA:
Hoppy (wet) with a perfumy/flowery mixed with citrus note. |
FLAVOR: Same as aroma – refreshing hop notes with pleasant malt balance on the aftertaste. |
PALATE:
The hop presence brings forth a nice citrus character that is crisp from the carbonation. |
OVERALL:
Nice – still “young” in my opinion but if you like ‘em hoppy and crisp go ahead and drink now because that hop character is going to fade. |

John Egan
Packaging Supervisor
APPEARANCE:
Beautiful, great head, with a nice orangey color. |
AROMA:
Some piney hop aroma, alcohol --- smells nice. |
FLAVOR:
Nice hop character and very balanced. There is some peppery, fruity, bubble gum thing going on…very interesting and delicious. Great malt character finishes it up. |
PALATE:
Can I say “spritzy?” Nah, effervescent sounds more manly and sophisticated. This beer is different on the palate and has a refreshing characteristic --- good stuff. |
OVERALL: For as much hops as it has, it’s maintained a high degree of freshness. Great brew --- I’ll take another! |

Bill Sherwood
Brewing Facilities Manager
APPEARANCE:
This beer just looked brilliant while being poured; is it possible to tell that a beer is going to be awesome just by the way it pours?! |
AROMA:
HOPS with a background of pleasant fresh malt. |
FLAVOR: Grapefruit candy, honey, and spicy-herby hops. Bitter finish is pleasant and not harsh. |
PALATE:
Very soft and tingly – effervescent – and very nice. |
OVERALL:
Wow, this beer really kicks ass. It is improving with age and reminds me of a Triple on steroids. |
