Appearance:
A nice straw-blonde color that gains a cloudiness after the last pour of the yeast from the bottom of the bottle. Very little head.
Aroma:
A little less vibrant on the nose than the 6month bottle, but still has a nice spiciness. The yeasty smell is very nice almost earthy.
Flavor:
Still (after one year) has a wonderful spiciness and seems to me to be not as overwhelming as when first released a little more balanced. The yeasty overtones are wonderful!
Palate:
Initial crispness, and very smooth, lingering aftertaste. Seems like the progression of flavors is beginning, but will need to see with time.
Overall:
One hell of a beer! The peppery flavor is awesome, even though its a little assertive it is starting to mellow a little cant wait to try it in a year or two!
