Stone Tasting Notes

We recommend to "cellar" all Stone Special Releases at cellar temperature (55 degrees F) or below. Thus, if you do not have a cellar, then a refrigerator is the next best option. Note that if you age your beers in a closet, your results may not be consistent with our Tasting Notes. If you do not have a place to cellar (at cellar temps) or refrigerate your beers, you may want to consider aging them for a shorter period of time.

To learn more about cellaring beers, watch a vBlog from early 2005 in which Greg & Lee discuss the subject

Around the Brewery...A Tasting Of Stone Vertical Epic Ales
November 17th, 2005 | Thursday @ 4:45 PM

We've gotten a little behind on our promised posting of Tasting Notes for each of our Stone Special Releases every six months. So, to begin catching up, we scheduled a session with Bill, Arlan, Lee, Chris & GK and the Stone 04.04.04 Vertical Epic Ale and the Stone 05.05.05 Vertical Epic Ale. Conducted at the new brewery to help us get the "feel" for tasting beers there. We'll need to help all of you get a feel for it soon too, and there's no better way than to make sure that we're highly educated on the subject!
