It takes a major cause for Stone Brewing Co. CEO & Co-founder Greg Koch to even consider chopping his lengthy locks and shaving that scruffy, now infamous beard. And we mean major. Even pleading from his significant other, family, friends and fellow Stone co-founder Steve Wagner couldn't convince Koch that the stubble-gone-wild he'd been working on for two years was due for a trim. So what finally did the trick?

Stone 17th Anniversary Gotterdammerung IPA Released Today

At Stone Brewing Co., new beer ideas from way-out-there to downright obscure are debated daily. When it comes to brewing a beer in celebration of Stone's anniversary, it's no-holds-barred for the brewing team. Case in point: Stone 17th Anniversary Gotterdammerung IPA. Gott-er-dam-er, what?! (The phonetic spelling doesn't help much on the pronunciation; check out Brewmaster Mitch Steele attempting to pronounce it by watching the video.) Starting today, the anniversary beer will be available in bottles and/or on draft at select retailers, restaurants and bars across the U.S.

Stone Brewing Co. To Host Stone 17th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival

Oh happy (hoppy?) day! Preparations for the Stone 17th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival are underway, and this year's event figures to be the biggest and best yet. On August 16 and 17, Stone Brewing Co. will set up shop at the California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) campus in North County San Diego to bring fans an epic array of craft beers, all in the name of celebration and charity. One hundred percent of the profits from the festival will be donated to local charities, including Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, Fight ALD, Palomar Family YMCA, and Surfrider Foundation.

Stone Brewing Co. Makes "San Diego's 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies" List 10 Years In a Row

On July 11, in a ceremony hosted by the San Diego Business Journal, Stone Brewing Co. was named one of "San Diego's 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies" yet again. This year's inclusion marked a significant and unique milestone for Stone. The craft brewing company has been on the publication-s 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list 10 years in a row. Stone is only company to have ever achieved this distinction during that span. Stone CEO and Co-founder Greg Koch, President and Co-founder Steve Wagner, and CFO Craig Spitz were in attendance to receive the acknowledgement.

Stone Brewing Co. is pleased to announce that, beginning August 27, the San Diego, CA brewing company's beers will be available in bars, restaurants and retail outlets in Alabama for the first time. Known for its bold, flavorful and hop-centric ales, Stone will distribute its beers throughout The Yellowhammer State via their selected wholesaler partner, International Wines & Craft Beer. A team of Stone representatives will take over Alabama with a host of events August 27 through September 6.
