STONE BREWING WORLD BISTRO & GARDENS:
FRESH!

SEATS STILL AVAILABLE!

MENU:
We're going around the county to get the freshest ingredients right now, so the menu itself is evolving from moment to moment (yes, even the menu is Fresh!). Our talented Kitchen Team will be creating dishes on the spot for some of our ingredients using their expertise and creative flair.

the FRESH! dinner will include:
Fresh Blonde Oysters from Carlsbad Aqua Farm

Caprese Salad with Bubalis Bubalus Buffalo Mozzarella that was just made this morning, fresh picked Heirloom Tomatoes and Fresh Basil

Day Fresh Connelly Gardens Organic Yellow & White Corn Chowder

An entree of Fresh Caught Pacific Halibut with Potato Pancakes, Roasted Ratatouille with a Roasted Heirloom Tomato Sauce all made with Fresh Vegetables from JR Organics

A dessert course with fresh Breakfast Melon that was just picked today!

Most diners give little thought to the food that sits on their table other than how it tastes.  And while everyone seems to agree that fresh is better, we seldom ask ourselves, "Just how fresh is it—really?" Allow us to demonstrate for you just how fresh a meal can be.  Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens invites you to experience a meal that in this day and age has all but been forgotten; a meal in which all items were picked, gathered, bottled, kegged, caught and/or killed THAT VERY DAY! For most folks, such a meal usually requires toiling on the farm or stomping through the woods.  But there’s no need to get your hands grubby this time, as we'll take care of that part for you.  All you need to do is show up and enjoy.  Well, there is SOME activity involved.  You will need to take a stroll over to the brewhouse floor so that you can draw a glass of beer RIGHT FROM THE FERMENTER VAT in all its fresh, unfiltered glory!

The evening will consist of a price-fix menu consisting of "That Day Fresh" items.  And for those who would rather not dine on something that just hours before had fur, feathers or fins, a vegetarian option (equally fresh) will of course be available. All the beers—and, oh yes, there most certainly will be plenty of fresh beer—to be paired with selected courses will have been either kegged or bottled earlier that day.

Now, how’s THAT for fresh?

Justin has been working double time making sure to get a variety of beers from Stone and other local craft breweries that were all kegged that day, here’s a list...

AleSmith Anvil ESB

AleSmith Nautical Nut Brown

Green Flash West Coast IPA

Lightning Tempest English-Style Old Ale

Stone Pale Ale

Stone IPA

Stone Ruination IPA

Unfiltered Stone Pale Ale or Arrogant Bastard

A multi-course meal for $49,
$59 with four 8oz. beers from the list above.

FRESH! Runs from 6-9PM. Keep an eye out for more the latest information. For reservations, call the Bistro @ 760-471-4999, Press 1 and then Press 2 to reach the host stand.

6:00-7:30 Discussion

It's been said that the Farm Bill should really be called the "Food Bill," since it pertains to all aspects of the food we eat. Dan Imhoff's book "Food Fight" gives us the inside perspective on the Farm Bill, and the fascinating stats and details of our current system for growing and subsidizing food in the United States. Join "Food Fight" author Dan Imhoff for an engaging discussion!

Selection:
"Food Fight" by Daniel Imhoff

Additional Optional Selection:
"Farming and the Fate of Wild Nature -- Essays in Conservation-Based Agriculture" edited by Daniel Imhoff and Jo Ann Baumgartner

"Food Fight" currently on sale in the Stone Store, or at your favorite book retailer.

Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs, and blankets will be provided for those without to keep you from grass-staining your chinos. Heck, we'll even discount draft beer for attendees — your lit' professors never did that for you! An RSVP is appreciated (though not required) at 760.471.4999 x1700

STONE CONFERENCE ROOM:
BREWING SCHOOL
July’s Brewing School will be a 45 minute presentation on malt handling and milling, and we will review how this important 1st step of the brewing process impacts brewhouse performance and beer flavor. This topic is being prepared and presented by Brewer Kevin Gray. Brewing School is held in our conference room and select amount of seats are open to the public free of charge and go fast, so make reservations ASAP. Call the front desk at the Stone Company Store @ 760-471-4999, x1500

STONE BREWING WORLD BISTRO & GARDENS:
SOUR FEST
The human palate is capable of detecting four basic tastes, but during a typical beer tasting only two of those (well, three if you count the pretzels) are experienced: bitter, sweet, and salty. At the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens we feel it’s high time we included the fourth flavor domain—SOUR—in the equation. Join us for hours of sours as we celebrate this great, and often unexplored, tradition of tart and tasty ales. We're currently tracking down as many sour beers that we can put on tap and in bottles to have for the day. The event will kick off when we open at 11am and will continue on all day long at our outdoor bar. A $30 Sour Pass will get you 10 taster tickets (some of the rarer sour beers will require two tickets) along with a commemorative glass. Reservations are not required. If you plan to dine with us, reservations are strongly encouraged!

The following breweries will be on tap, in bottles or on cask:

Allagash
Deschutes
Oud Beersel
Baladin
Drie Fonteinen
Panil
Ballast Point
Girardin
Petrus
Boon
Hanssens
Piere Celis
Cantillon
Jolly Pumpkin
Russian River
Craftsman
Liefman's
Telegraph
De Proef
Lindeman's
Van Steenberg
De Ranke
Orval
Verhaeghe

Our man Justin is working tirelessly to track down as many Sour Beers as possible. He promises well over 16 on tap, over 30 in bottles and even one on cask! We’ll be posting up the lineup on our calendar page as it becomes available.
