| Forget about neckties and smelly old aftershave kits and give the King of
the Castle something he can really use: a belly full of great chow and
excellent beer! This Father's Day bring yer Pa to the
Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens between 11am and 8pm for a buffet of manly (Dadly?) meal items that will have Dad bringing the bacon
back to the table (tofu will be in there too for the Dads who are man
enough to take it). $40
gets Dad ten "Father's Fest" tickets that can be redeemed for any combination of buffet and bar trips (3 tickets per Father's Fest Buffet
visit / 1 ticket per 8oz beer). Family members with not-so-lion-like
appetites can purchase five tickets for $20, and kids under 12 are good to
go for ten bucks. Make sure to have the couch fluffed and the remote
positioned within easy reach...there'll be a lion-sized catnap coming on
when you get (errr...wheelbarrow) him home. There's no better way to make Dad's day! |

June is Ruination Nation Month, and so our second Beer University Class for June celebrates the style of beer that put San Diego craft brewers on the map: the Double IPA. Stone Brewing Co.'s acclaimed head brewer, Mitch Steele, will lead the evening's presentation, covering the history, brewing methods and the exciting array of interpretations of this decidedly big and bold So Cal classic. With so many hopheads in this town, the 90 minute class, which includes samples and snacks, is expected to sell out.
