Another Stone In The Wall
|
The Stone Wall Project will be taking place this weekend, RAIN OR SHINE, April 29th – May 1st (Friday from 3-6pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm). You can register ahead of time by going to www.stonebrewing.com or you can show up and register when you arrive and pay with cash, check, or credit card.
We wanted to remind everyone and update you on how things are going...which is very well. We are very flattered at the response so far: people from California, North Carolina, Illinois, Arizona, and Virginia have already purchased stones and the dollars for charity have climbed over the $10K mark already!
However, we still want to include you, so to make it irresistible we've upped the benefits. Here's a little recap on the details:
One of the principal architectural and design features of the new Stone Brewing restaurant is a massive stone wall that stretches from inside the restaurant, outdoors through the patio area and into the beer gardens. For a charitable donation, Stone fans and community supporters are being invited to place stones picked from the construction site or from their own backyard into the wall for a permanent place in Stone Brewing and North County history.

- Gift certificates can be used for anything at the Stone Brewery World Bistro & Gardens and Stone Gift Shop.
- Discounts are also good for anything at the Stone Brewery World Bistro & Gardens during the first year, but are not combinable with gift certificates.
- Stone Wall Foundation Members will receive VIP status to Stone events including admission to the Stone 9th Anniversary Celebration.
- The Stone Wall Party is going to be a private party, held approximately one year from now that all participants will be invited to attend. At that time we will tap the strongest beer we've ever brewed..."StoneWall Ale."
- The StoneWall Ale will be a tribute to all who participated in the Stone Wall Project and will include the names of all participants printed on the bottle. This beer will not be made available to the public, except on draft for special occasions. Participants will receive at least one bottle of StoneWall Ale, depending on their contribution amount.

Five, Five, Five...Wait, This You'll Understand: 05.05.05.!!! |
396 days, or one year, one month, and one day will soon have passed since the last release in the Stone Vertical Epic Ale series. This year when the calendar reads "five, five, five" it will have a very profound significance for Stone fans everywhere...the release of the next beer in the series.
This year's version, the Stone 05.05.05 Vertical Epic Ale, will continue the tradition of the past ales and will be a bottle-conditioned, Belgian-cum-Stone-style ale. As in the past, this beer will be able to be aged to enjoy with the other Vertical Epic Ales when the time comes.
For more information on the Stone Vertical Epic Ale series, the homebrew recipes (for the Stone Vertical Epic Challenge), tasting notes, and to find out the locations where this much sought after beer will remain on the shelves for a mere moment in time, click here. |

Forget about digital cable and video on demand...at Stone we have something better: GK on demand (or as we know him around here..."Demanding GK")! CEO Greg Koch's latest "toy" is a camera that he doesn't go anywhere without (those who have encountered him in the past month or so can certainly testify to that!) Greg has been recording 1-4 minutes videos to place on the Stone website in the form of "video web logs" or "vBlogs."
Some of the latest vignettes include the latest up-to-date status of our new brewery project (including the tilting of the walls!), talking with brewing industry friends at the recent Craft Brewers Conference, footage of our new brewery equipment being built in Germany, and an explanation of the Stone Wall Project. |
