Stone Brewing Hits A New Low
with Stone Levitation Ale

Just in case you thought all of us at Stone hadn't been busy enough lately (what, are you NUTS?!?), You'll be pleased to learn that we've got a brand new Stone 6pack for you...

STONE LEVITATION ALE

It's big, but it's not massive. It will smack your palate yet it won't smack you upside the head. It will Levitate your senses to new heights. All while being comparatively low. Low in alcohol, that is. It's full-tilt Stone, but answers to a spectrum not currently represented by the Stone line up of brews. Stone Levitation Ale is 4.4% alc/vol.

Yes, it’s modest in alcohol for a Stone brew and no, this isn't some silly light beer. For beginners, we think light beer is for pansies and Stone Levitation has a pansy-quashing 55 IBUs (International Bitterness Units). Let ‘em stuff that in their bonnets. Like I said, "its full-tilt Stone” all the way.

And it’s the first new Stone brew in a 6pack in over four years, joining the popular Stone Pale Ale and Stone IPA 6packs. I know four+ years are a long time to make you wait for a new Stone 6pack, but the Stone Levitation Ale is well worth that wait. (However if you want it on draft, you'll have to wait even longer --- the Stone Levitation Ale is only available in 12oz 6packs.)

Want to be the very first to try it and buy it? Here's how:
* Available for tastes and by-the-case purchase starting this Friday, September 20th at Stone Brewing during our Tasting Room / Gift Shop hours.
* Available for growler fills this weekend ONLY at the brewery. After that, it’s tastes only until we get our new bigger-capacity Tasting Bar built.
* Available at Beverages, & more! stores in San Diego County and Orange County starting this Saturday, September 21st.
* Available in Southern CA markets, restaurants and bars the week of September 23rd. Check here for a list.

Get in touch with your inner animal and support the Zoological Society of San Diego at the annual Celebration for the Critters at the San Diego Zoo.

This year, it’s called “Bayou Beat” with a New Orleans theme. VIP preview will begin at 6:30 and the main gates will open at 7:30pm. The event goes until midnight.

San Diego's best restaurants, Wine and local Microbrews (including Stone of course!) will be available under the stars and amongst the animals. This is always a fantastic event and a chance to sample signature dishes prepared by the chefs of San Diego’s best-respected restaurants! Slip on the buffalo hide boots, put a bird feather in your cap and open up that alligator wallet of yours and pay some penance in support of God’s Creatures! (We suggest you keep that fur coat at home however....)

Keep in mind that rumors of Blackened Condor and Komodo Dragon Etouffee being available are almost certain to be false.
