Stone Opening a New Brewery in Europe?

 Stone Brewing Co. is extremely excited to announce that due to
growing success and international demand, the company is officially
considering opening a brewery in Europe.

* Stone is currently distributed in 34 states in the US, and has been distributing modestly to Japan, England and Sweden as well.

* Stone produced 99,000 barrels in 2009

* In the first half of 2009, Stone Brewing Co.'s volume increased 24%, while revenue increased 30%.

* Stone’s production volume has had a 49% average annual increase since it was established in 1996.
1 To the best of our knowledge, Stone is the first American craft brewery to consider opening a brewery in Europe.

1 This decision is in line with the Stone's philosophy of ensuring fresh beer in the marketplace, and reducing their carbon footprint for distribution.

Stone has been growing every year since its start in 1996, but has never
put growth ahead of quality. This new endeavor is no exception. Stone
plans to start small and grow naturally.
1 CEO Greg Koch notes that the new location is at the idea stage, and not a
foregone conclusion that it will come to fruition.
1 Stone is currently creating an RFP (Request For Proposal), for
munincipalities, cities or countries to to respond to with proposals.
1 The location of Stone Brewing's prospective European brewery is undecided; Stone intends to consider all proposals.
