The
2006 Stone Imperial Russian Stout
|
Escondido, San Diego County, CA --- April 17th marks the release date of the 2006 Stone Imperial Russian Stout: a dark decadent beer that is one of the most lauded brews in America. Rated as one of the top 10 beers in the world on the two most popular beer rating websites, Ratebeer.com and BeerAdvocate.com, it certainly does have a following. "There's no question that Stone Imperial Russian Stout is revered among enthusiasts," states Stone CEO Greg Koch.
This brew’s behemoth body, high alcohol content and the fact that it is bottle-conditioned, allow it to easily be aged for a year or more. Koch suggests that collectors open a bottle from their cellars every six months or so to experience the various stages of the beer's maturation over time. "The very best way to enjoy archives of the Stone Imperial Russian Stout is to taste various years of the brew side by side." However, only the most serious collectors with the strongest will power are able to keep themselves from enjoying their archives before they even have a chance to age!
Stone Imperial Russian Stout is available in 22oz bottles. A list of regions of distribution and retailers can be found at stonebrew.com/irs. Draft will also be available at a handful of select pubs in limited areas.
