The 2008 Stone San Diego Storm

You already know about the annual Stone Winter Storm in the World Bistro, when we fill all 32 taps at the bar with nothing but rare and archived Stone beers. Now enter American Craft Beer Week, beginning Monday, May 12th, which promotes all the great breweries in our own backyards.

We can think of no better way to celebrate than to have our entire 32 tap lineup pouring nothing but awesome, locally brewed San Diego beers! Peter, our Beer Man in the Bistro, is hard at work getting breweries on board for the event and is putting together a beer menu which will be posted by May 1st.

Rumor has it that he's getting some special casks to tap into as well! Here is a list of the outstanding breweries who will be on tap: AleSmith, Alpine Beer Company, Backstreet Brewing, Ballast Point Brewing Company, Coronado Brewing Company, Green Flash Brewing Co., Left Coast Brewing Co., Lightning Brewery, Oceanside Ale Works, Pizza Port Carlsbad, Pizza Port Solana Beach, and Port Brewing San Marcos (Lost Abbey)!

This will be one storm you won't want to run and hide from!

Benefit Cheese Dinner Featuring Stone Brewing

SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience

The Brewers Association, producers of the Great American Beer Festival, is bringing the quintessential craft beer and food event to Washington D.C. in celebration of American Craft Beer Week.

A must attend for craft beer aficionados and foodies alike, SAVOR will offer a memorable craft beer and food experience to a limited number of attendees under the columned archways of the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.

Of course Stone Brewing will be participating with our Stone Smoked Porter and Stone Ruination IPA being paired up with several different food items.

To top if off, attendees will be able to mix and mingle with Stone's CEO, Greg Koch. Who, beleive it or not, will be competing for face time with the East Coast "groupies" that are there to see their beloved Stone guys Scott and Michael!

Maryland's Cafe Bretton To Host Stone Beer Dinner

There are beer dinners, then there are Stone Beer Dinners, and Cafe Bretton in Severna Park is about to host an unreal version that will certainly please the most discernible palate...with the help from Stone Brewing!

They will present an amazing six-course meal prepared by Chef Victor, and each course will be prepared and paired with a delicious Stone beer. On the menu will be Stone Pale Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, Stone Smoked Porter, Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, and a ridiculous dessert featuring the 2008 Stone Imperial Russian Stout!

An Evening In Portland With The Stone Archives

Aging and cellaring beers is becoming more and more popular, but getting to taste some older versions of your favorite Stone beers is a little more difficult...until now. With the help of the folks at the Moon & Sixpence, and with the assitance of our PacNorWest guy John, you'll get to do just that on Thursday, July 17th.

According to John they'll be breaking out some trusty, dusty, perhasp a little musty, but very tasty treats from the Stone Archives for all to enjoy. This will be a selection of Stone Special Releases such as Double Bastard Ale, Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine, and the Stone Imperial Russian Stout.

Four Days Of Beer, Fun, & Sun: The Oregon Brewers Festival

Celebrating its 21st year, the Oregon Brewers Festival is North America's largest gathering of independent brewers. This grassroots event has developed a reputation as being one of the finest craft beer festivals in the world...and not solely because of Stone's participation!

This multi-day event features live music, entertainment, free bicycle parking, excellent food prepared by local restuarants, and lots and lots of great craft beer.
