EVERY SUNDAY: STONE BREWING WORLD BISTRO & GARDENS: Lambic Sundays Join us for Lambic Sundays, 25% off Lambics and sour beers all day long. Unlike conventional ales and lagers, which are fermented by carefully cultivated strains of brewer’s yeasts, Lambic beer is instead produced by spontaneous fermentation: it is exposed to the wild yeasts and bacteria that are said to be native to the Senne valley, around Brussels. It is this unusual process which gives the beer its distinctive flavor: dry, vinous, and cidery, with complex and refreshing sour notes throughout. 06/04/07 June's inaugural meeting of our Book & A Beer Club was a great success. A large crowd showed up on the grass for taking in some great discussion alongside some great beers. 02/11/07 Stone Brewing CEO Greg Koch and Chuao Chocolatier co-Owner Michael Antonorsi at a special Stone beer and Chuao chocolate pairing event 02/11/07 Stone beer and Chuao chocolate pairing event Brown Paper Tickets is an online fair trade ticketing service. They charge 99¢ for a printed ticket, plus 2.5% of the total ticket price. This means the total service charge on a $20 Beer University ticket is only $1.49-and this includes shipping! Compare this to another, let's say "less endearing", ticketing company who charges you up to an additional 40% in their (in)convenience charges (and that's before they've pillaged you for shipping and processing fees) and you can see why we like using Brown Paper Tickets. As if Brown Paper Tickets weren't setting themselves apart enough, they actually donate a percentage of your purchase to a charity that you can choose at checkout. Think of them like the Stone Brewing Co. of the ticketing companies... they're not the size of the "big guy," but you get a warm feeling that things get a little more right with the world when you find them at your favorite places.

COMING UP AT STONE: STONE BREWING WORLD BISTRO AND GARDENS: 32 San Diego Craft Beers On Tap At The Same Time! MONDAY, MAY 12th through SUNDAY, MAY 18th You already know about the annual Stone Winter Storm in the Bistro, when we fill all 32 taps at the bar with nothing but rare and archived Stone beer. Now enter American Craft Beer Week, beginning Monday, May 12th, which promotes all the great breweries in our own backyards. We can think of no better way to celebrate than to have our entire 32 tap lineup pouring nothing but awesome, locally brewed San Diego beers! Peter, our Beer Man in the Bistro, is hard at work getting breweries on board for the event and is putting together a beer menu which will be posted by May 1st. Rumor has it that he's getting some special casks to tap into as well! We asked Mikkel if he’d be willing to hang out one evening and share his beers and philosophy on brewing with like-minded people — that’s you and us, btw — and he happily agreed. You’ll be able to try several of his beers and ask him questions. A few years back Mikkel was so inspired by the American Craft Beer he started discovering, that he became a brewer himself. Now his unique approach to brewing is, in turn, inspiring others. If that doesn't inspire you to ask some questions, or at least come out and share some of his tasty beers, we don't know what will!
