Chocolate, dark, malt, fruitiness–prunes!
FLAVOR:
Bitter Chocolate flavor, raisin/currant flavors, roasty notes.
PALATE:
Medium body, silky.
OVERALL:
Pretty drinkable, mighty chocolate character. Should age well.

Mitch Steele

Deep opaque brown, light foam head.
AROMA:
Roast, cocoa, and some licorice.
FLAVOR:
Roasted malt, full, bitter, cocoa and licorice.
PALATE:
Full, dry and bitter finish, very smooth up front.
OVERALL:

Greg Koch
Chairman & CEO

APPEARANCE:
Black.
AROMA:
Cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Alcohol notes.
FLAVOR:
Huge chocolate, but not “chocolaty." In other words, it definitely has chocolate but it hits my palate way different than chocolate drinks or chocolates. Interesting and it's hard to describe exactly, but I like this moer than reading my own description would lead to believe. Huh. I guess I gotta learn to write better.
PALATE:
Yum.
OVERALL:
It's my prediction that this beer will age flawlessly. Yes, I am saying that I think this will be amazing in 5, 10, 15 or more years.

Chris Cochran
Marketing & Promotions
APPEARANCE:
Dark, thick, but still bright . . . co2seems decent bt the foam/head faded very quickly. Nearly “sticks" to the sides of the glass.
AROMA:
Coffee, roasted nuts, chocolate, caramel, a hint of dough . . . like a roll or bagel (chocolate chip).
FLAVOR:
More roasted flavors, coffee and chocolate–amazing mix of flavors. You will not want to brush your teeth after this one!
PALATE:
Med–Big body, coats the tongue completely–viscous. ABV seems masked–very drinkable/the flavors left on your tongue make you want more.
OVERALL:
Triple A: Awesome, Amazing, Another please! Have this beer with a toasted piece of bread with peanut butter. Oh Yeah!!

John Egan
Lead Brewer
APPEARANCE:
Black, big creamy tan head hangin' out for awhile.
AROMA:
Chocolate, leather, roast, coffee, earthy.
FLAVOR:
Big bitter chocolate, cake-like decadence.
PALATE:
Silky, almost oily, bitter, filling like a big chocolaty beer should be!
OVERALL:
Very nice. Great beer to have with dessert or on its own on a cold night . . . or warm night . . . or . . .
